i just had my2.6 liter dodge ram50 overhauled a month ago and now every time i drive it and shut it off for awhile when i crank it up it smokes for about aminute and then quits it does it every time can anyone give me info thanks

How big was the overhaul? Could be poorly installed rings. Did the guy hone the bore?

Did he replace the valve guides?

I'd take it back to him and say, "Friend, either you fix it or pay someone else to do it."

he is right. Piston ring migth have not been the same. are they genuine parts? or its timing belt was'nt did right.
