| | A new G5 "entry-level" coupe, related to Chevrolet's compact Cobalt, has arrived as a 2007 model. In addition to the 148-horsepower base model, Pontiac offers a hotter GT coupe that packs a 173-horsepower, 2.4-liter Ecotec engine. A Getrag five-speed manual transmission is standard on both, with four-speed automatic available. White-faced sport gauges face the driver. Built on GM's global small-car platform. and seating five, the G5 comes with power locks/windows and air conditioning. The GT edition includes an FE3 sport-tuned suspension, antilock braking, 17-inch painted aluminum wheels, sport rocker moldings, and foglamps. Head-curtain airbags and leather-appointed seats are optional. |
